Africa's children are my heart.
I am so excited to teach and get to know your children in Carpenter’s Kids at Carpenter’s House Church!  I believe a very important part of Children’s Ministry is having a positive relationship between the teacher and the parents.  I want you to always feel free to talk with me and let me know about any concerns or questions you may have.

To let you know a little about me, I am a student at Central Bible College, originally from Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  My major is Global Missions, and God has called me to work with children in Africa.  I work at Assemblies of God World Missions with the Africa’s Children program.  My experience with children includes nursery work, children’s church ministry, children’s Sunday school teaching, and babysitting.  Personally, some of my favorite things to do are to cook, to research random facts about Africa, and to sing.  I would love to get to know each of you as well as your children.

I want to keep you informed about what is going on at Carpenter’s Kids.  We began Unit 1 last Sunday.  Each unit is 4 weeks long.  Unit 1 is “God Gives Us Families.”  In this unit, we discover some different families in the Bible and how we can learn from the things they did in an effort to appreciate and help our families.  Each week, you will notice a “HomeLink” on your child’s craft.  This is to let you know what we learned that day.  I will send you a letter at the beginning of each unit so you know what your children are learning.

Each Sunday morning, a typical Carpenter’s Kids service consists of a Bible story, a short puppet skit, Bible memorization, worship songs, prayer, snack, and a craft.  There will be a sign-in sheet every week for you to sign in your child, and there will also be a sign-out sheet.  This is for your child’s safety.  We want to make sure each child is picked up by their parent and gets home safely.

Again, if you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.  I greatly appreciate the opportunity to teach your children about God!
